I’d just like to extend a word of gratitude to all my friends, family, wine lovers and restauranteurs out there that have helped make my blog what it is today - THANK YOU! I am forever in your graces.

For all of you out there enjoying turkey and delicious wine with loved ones and friends, may it fill your bellies, make you smile and bring some sunshine into a little corner of your life. Today is a wonderful day to give Thanks and to feel blessed!

Cloudline 2007 Pinot Noir - Red Wine

(To have with turkey and all the fantastic side dishes.)

Description (from the winemaker):

Red Wine by Cloudline from Willamette Valley, Oregon. On the nose, there is an immediate burst of bright, fresh red fruits, including strawberry and raspberry, followed by an earthy quality. On the palate, the wine has fine texture, soft tannins, good acidity and a strong core of fruit. It is a wine that offers immediate pleasure, on its own, or better yet, in the company of a delicious meal. All in all, the 2007 is classic Pinot Noir. Coudline is vinified under the careful eye of consulting winemaker Veronique Drouhin-Boss of Domaine Drouhin winery.

Gruet Sparkling wine - New Mexico - 2006 Blanc de Blancs (I’ll be enjoying this with my pumpkin cheesecake later…)

Description from the winemaker: The Blanc de Blancs offers abundant aromas and flavors recalling sweet apples, pears and citrus. The three years of aging has contributed a pronounced classic toastiness with accents of roasted almonds and minerals. The palate is creamy and long, and the style is elegant, dry and crisp, with great complexity.
